Senior Software Developer

About the role

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is looking for a Senior Software Developer to join its fast‑growing cloud platform team. You will design, develop, and maintain critical backend services that power mission‑critical applications for enterprises worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, debug, and enhance backend services, APIs, and server‑side components for distributed cloud systems.
• Work within existing architectures to build scalable, reliable applications and suggest incremental improvements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of services.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment of containerized, cloud‑native workloads.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• BS or MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, object‑oriented design, data structures, and algorithms.
• Systematic problem‑solving approach, strong communication skills, and a sense of ownership.

Required skills

• Proficiency in at least one object‑oriented language (Java, C++, C#, Go).
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservice design patterns.
• Familiarity with containerized deployments and cloud‑native infrastructure.
• Knowledge of building highly available and scalable distributed services.
