Senior Site Reliability Operations Engineer (Finance)

About the role

The Site Reliability Operations (SRO) team ensures 24/7 stability of the internal IT infrastructure and mission‑critical backend systems for a leading financial services company. This position works a swing shift from 2 PM to 10:30 PM PST and balances incident command, technical troubleshooting, project leadership, and stakeholder communication.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor multi‑platform infrastructure health using AWS CloudWatch, New Relic, Nagios, and SumoLogic, refining alert thresholds for proactive remediation.
• Serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues across Linux/UNIX, Windows, virtual servers, and virtual desktop environments.
• Coordinate, automate, and execute code deployments with Jenkins, GitLab, or similar CI/CD tools to achieve zero‑downtime releases.
• Collaborate with application developers, third‑party vendors, and internal incident management teams.
• Lead medium‑ to large‑scale infrastructure projects such as migrations, cloud upgrades, and performance tuning.
• Maintain SOPs in knowledge bases and oversee enterprise backup operations using CommVault, Veeam, and AWS Backup.

Required profile

• 5+ years in an Operations Center (SRO/NOC) or cloud infrastructure environment with full‑stack deployment experience.
• Proficiency in Windows and UNIX/Linux administration, including scripting, log analysis, and performance troubleshooting.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS services (storage, compute, networking) and enterprise monitoring tools.
• Experience with CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, GitLab), ITSM ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira), and backup solutions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for interfacing with technical teams, executives, and vendors.
