Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing AI technology company that serves millions of users worldwide. The role is a hands‑on, senior‑level position focused on designing, building and scaling core backend applications while collaborating closely with the CTO, Tech Lead, Product Managers and SREs.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable backend services using Ruby on Rails.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to translate requirements into technical solutions and provide effort estimates.
• Write clean, maintainable, well‑tested production code and participate in code reviews.
• Troubleshoot issues, improve reliability, performance and scalability of the platform.
• Contribute to technical decision‑making, product roadmap discussions and experiment with new technologies.

Required profile

• 5+ years of commercial experience as a Backend or Full‑Stack Engineer.
• Strong, recent hands‑on experience with Ruby on Rails in production.
• Experience building reliable, scalable systems serving thousands of monthly active users.
• Comfortable working in fast‑moving, agile environments with changing priorities.
• Excellent spoken and written English and ability to work with international remote teams.
