Senior Legal Counsel (West Coast) – Healthcare Tech

About the role

We are seeking a commercially‑minded Senior Legal Counsel to join a fast‑growing healthcare technology company. Based on the West Coast, you will work closely with the General Counsel on a broad range of regulatory, privacy, technology and commercial matters that support our mission‑critical software platform.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on HIPAA compliance, healthcare regulatory requirements and broader healthcare laws.
• Provide legal guidance on data privacy, governance and security frameworks for healthcare data.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial and technology agreements, including SaaS, licensing, vendor and enterprise contracts.
• Support product, engineering and security teams on legal issues related to platform development and data handling.
• Partner with compliance and risk functions on regulatory and operational matters.
• Assist with corporate governance, strategic business initiatives and enterprise partnerships.
• Monitor regulatory developments in healthcare, privacy and technology sectors.

Required profile

• 7–12 years of legal experience, JD from an accredited law school.
• Strong foundation in top‑tier law firm training combined with significant in‑house experience.
• Deep expertise advising on HIPAA and healthcare regulatory matters.
• Background in healthcare technology, digital health, SaaS, fintech or other regulated tech environments is strongly preferred.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.
• Practical, business‑oriented mindset with strong stakeholder management skills.
• Must be based on the West Coast.
