Senior Infrastructure Engineer – Postgres

About the role

ClickHouse is expanding its cloud data platform across AWS, GCP, and Azure, adding new capabilities that connect and extend Postgres for modern data workloads. We are looking for a Senior SRE / Infrastructure Engineer to own reliability, automation, and operations as these services scale globally.

Key responsibilities

• Lead reliability and operations for ClickHouse’s Postgres integration, including upgrades, patching and scaling.
• Design and implement automation for provisioning, deployments and service lifecycle across AWS, GCP and Azure.
• Develop infrastructure‑as‑code using Terraform and modern CI/CD pipelines to ensure repeatable deployments.
• Build Go‑based tooling and services that improve automation, observability and developer experience.
• Own observability, monitoring, alerting, metrics and tracing across all environments.
• Drive incident management, post‑mortems and continuous reliability improvements.
• Collaborate with platform, networking and product teams to enhance service operability.
• Mentor engineers and help the team scale as customer adoption grows.

Required profile

• 7+ years of SRE, DevOps or infrastructure engineering experience with production‑grade distributed systems.
• Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL operations, scaling and performance tuning.
• Extensive hands‑on experience with AWS and exposure to GCP and Azure multi‑cloud environments.
• Proficiency in Terraform, Kubernetes and container‑based infrastructure.
• Strong Go programming skills or willingness to own production Go code.
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki or OpenTelemetry.
• Solid understanding of SLOs, incident response and reliability best practices.
• Founder‑mindset: hands‑on, resourceful and able to ship impactful systems.
