Senior Hardware Engineer – EMI/EMC

About the role

Rivet is seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer to lead EMI/EMC design, testing, and compliance for its rugged hardware products. You will work across electrical, RF, mechanical, firmware, and systems teams to solve interference challenges in demanding environments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead EMI/EMC design, troubleshooting, testing, and certification for hardware and integrated systems.
• Ensure compliance with MIL-STD-461G/H, FCC Part 15 and other relevant standards.
• Review PCB layouts, schematics, grounding, shielding, filtering, cabling and mechanical designs to mitigate EMI/EMC risks.
• Collaborate with external manufacturers, ODMs and certification labs to debug issues and obtain certifications.
• Develop test strategies and drive issues to resolution from early design through production.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional EMI/EMC engineering experience on complex electronic systems.
• Strong knowledge of MIL-STD-461G/H requirements and test methods.
• Hands‑on experience diagnosing EMI/EMC issues at PCB/subsystem and system levels.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromagnetics or related field, or equivalent experience.
