Senior Firmware Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer to architect, develop, and ship next‑generation neurotech and audio hardware products. You will own major portions of the embedded software stack from early architecture through production, collaborating with electrical, mechanical, software, ML, and product teams.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to firmware architecture and embedded software development for battery‑powered wearable consumer devices from concept through production.
• Own critical firmware components such as real‑time data acquisition, connectivity, power management, bootloaders, and production infrastructure.
• Design and implement robust firmware abstractions across sensors, audio systems, wireless subsystems, and power domains.
• Develop low‑latency realtime firmware pipelines for sensor acquisition, timestamping, synchronization, and high‑throughput audio streams.
• Integrate Bluetooth LE, Classic Bluetooth, and OTA update systems on Qualcomm Snapdragon or similar SoCs.
• Optimize firmware for low‑power operation, including sleep states, subsystem power gating, and dynamic power management.
• Debug complex concurrency, timing, and memory issues in deeply embedded systems.

Required profile

• Proven experience developing firmware for battery‑powered wearable consumer devices.
• Ability to own large portions of the hardware and firmware stack in a fast‑moving startup environment.

• RTOS development (FreeRTOS or similar)
• DMA‑driven data acquisition
