Senior Field Reimbursement Expert – Retina Clinic (Pacific Coast)

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Senior Field Reimbursement Expert to support its Retina Clinic portfolio on the Pacific Coast. The role is remote with up to 60% travel and focuses on ensuring providers and staff are knowledgeable about payer policies, coding, and claim appeals.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain strategic relationships with providers and outpatient facilities in the assigned geography.
• Partner with field sales teams to drive engagement and positive customer experiences.
• Educate providers on coding, billing, and reimbursement requirements for Alcon equipment and devices.
• Analyze local market data and healthcare dynamics to inform business planning.
• Serve as subject‑matter expert for Value Tools deployment across Alcon product portfolios.
• Provide managed‑care and reimbursement training for internal and external stakeholders.
• Stay current on reimbursement policies and ophthalmic business trends.
• Represent Alcon at industry meetings, reimbursement forums, and professional organization events.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (high school + 15 years, Associate + 11 years, M.S. + 4 years, PhD + 3 years).
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, preferably in retina sales, account management, or reimbursement.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Experience working in a matrix organization and collaborating with billing/claims personnel.
