Senior Fall Protection Application Engineer

About the role

3M is seeking a Senior Fall Protection Application Engineering Specialist for its Personal Safety Division. The role blends technical expertise with global collaboration, supporting customers and internal teams across the United States and Canada.

Key responsibilities

• Become the global expert on fall‑protection products, regulations and applications.
• Provide advanced technical support to strategic accounts and high‑value opportunities.
• Engage with standards‑setting organizations to represent 3M and influence safety standards.
• Develop technical content, scholarly articles, webinars and public‑speaking engagements to showcase thought leadership.
• Support cross‑functional teams with product and regulatory knowledge for business initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science from an accredited institution.
• Minimum seven years of experience in workplace health and safety, technical support, product design, or PPE customer engagement.
• Professional certifications such as P.E., CSP, or CIH are a plus.
• Experience in the fall‑protection industry and a customer‑focused mindset.
• Strong public‑speaking ability and proven leadership skills.
