Senior Construction Manager – REI Market Growth

About the role

Bureau Veritas is seeking a Senior Construction Manager (NY PE) to lead complex heavy‑civil infrastructure projects while driving the growth of its Resident Engineering & Inspection (REI) business in the New York market. This on‑site, long‑term position blends hands‑on construction management with client‑facing engagement and strategic market development.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the owner’s representative, overseeing daily field operations, contractor performance, and compliance with contract documents, codes and agency standards.
• Manage project schedules in Primavera P6, monitor budgets, handle change orders, and produce accurate reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and coordinate inspections, testing and quality assurance activities.
• Build and maintain relationships with public‑sector agencies, participate in pre‑bid meetings, and contribute field insight to pursuit strategies.

Required profile

• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in New York (New Jersey license highly preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical or related engineering discipline.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in resident engineering, construction inspection or heavy civil project management.
• Proven experience delivering bridges, tunnels, foundations, utilities and transportation infrastructure in New York.

Required skills

• Primavera P6 scheduling and project controls.
• Budgeting, estimating and forecasting.
• Change order management and contract administration.
• Construction negotiations.
• CCM, PMP or CWI certifications (strongly preferred).
