Senior Buyer – Global Procurement Center

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Buyer to join our Global Procurement Center, supporting manufacturing operations. In this role you will drive strategic and tactical purchasing, ensure material availability, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet production and quality goals.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain supplier, product, lead‑time and replenishment master data in ERP systems.
• Communicate demand forecasts and supply requirements to suppliers for raw materials, components and finished goods.
• Execute purchase orders according to the supply plan and respond to planning signals generated by the ERP system.
• Manage safety stock, validate material availability and monitor inventory levels.
• Lead supplier interactions to resolve supply issues, adjust requirements and escalate shortages.
• Conduct weekly and monthly supplier performance reviews and drive recovery plans.
• Track and report KPIs such as on‑time‑in‑full delivery, lead‑time compliance, inventory, PO accuracy and supplier performance.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives with suppliers while ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain or manufacturing.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Regular collaboration with global suppliers and cross‑functional teams across time zones.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards or equivalent).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
• Experience using Power BI for reporting and data analysis.
