Senior Bookkeeper

About the role

IRIS Financial Group is seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join its remote team. You will act as the primary financial liaison for a portfolio of small‑business clients, ensuring accurate bookkeeping while building trusted, long‑term relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain a dedicated portfolio of client accounts.
• Complete monthly reconciliations and prepare accurate financial statements.
• Record journal entries and assist with payroll‑related processes.
• Maintain accounting systems and ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
• Communicate directly with clients to support their ongoing financial needs.
• Collaborate with internal team members to improve workflows and operational systems.

Required profile

• Strong QuickBooks experience.
• Solid understanding of bookkeeping fundamentals, journal entries, and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and compliance standards.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and dependable.
• Comfortable managing client relationships and communicating professionally.
• Self‑motivated with the ability to take initiative in a fast‑moving environment.
