Senior Back-end Engineer (PHP/Python)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Back‑end Engineer to own and evolve a high‑traffic pet‑care platform. You will work on client‑facing APIs, cloud infrastructure, and AI‑enhanced development workflows, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the core PHP/Laravel API based on OpenAPI specifications.
• Build and improve internal Python services, including AWS Lambda micro‑functions.
• Manage AWS infrastructure with Terraform, covering ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, Parameter Store, CloudWatch, and IAM.
• Integrate AI‑powered tools into the development pipeline and guide the team in using them effectively.
• Participate in architectural decisions, evaluate trade‑offs, and break down complex features into releasable components.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend development.
• Proven track record of shipping production‑grade software in fast‑paced environments.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently and within a team.
