About the role

As a Senior Applied AI Engineer at CodeRabbit, you will lead the design, development, and deployment of cutting‑edge generative AI systems that power our code‑review and developer‑productivity tools. You will translate the latest research in retrieval‑augmented generation, RLHF, and multi‑step reasoning into high‑impact product features.

Key responsibilities

• Design and optimize LLM‑based systems for high‑quality, context‑rich code reviews.
• Build and refine multi‑step agentic workflows that reason across contexts.
• Develop and maintain knowledge‑base and retrieval pipelines, including chunking, embeddings, and semantic search.
• Deploy generative AI models into production, monitor performance, and iterate based on user feedback.
• Apply RLHF, ranking, and reward‑modeling techniques to continuously improve response quality.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, AI or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience applying ML or LLM‑based systems in production, with at least 2 years focused on generative AI.
• Strong track record of cross‑functional collaboration with product, engineering, and design teams.
• Experience analyzing telemetry, logs, and user signals to drive system improvements.
