Senior Android Software Engineer

About the role

A Series A fintech company is looking for a Senior Android Software Engineer to join a product-focused team building consumer financial products. You'll work closely with product, engineering, and business leaders to craft high-quality mobile experiences, leveraging multiple datasets to drive clear objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain a core consumer‑facing Android application.
• Assist in building and scaling platform infrastructure.
• Pragmatically solve complex technical and product problems.
• Contribute to product design decisions and overall direction.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively across engineering, product, and business teams.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers on the Android team.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in mobile engineering.
• Strong Kotlin expertise with Jetpack Compose and modern Android architecture (MVVM / Clean Architecture).
• Hands‑on experience building and shipping consumer‑facing mobile apps (B2C experience is a must).
• Experience with backend data formats and APIs common in mobile apps, including protobufs, REST, and gRPC.
• Experience integrating Firebase services (Authentication, Firestore/Realtime Database, Cloud Messaging).
• Proficiency with Android testing strategies (unit and instrumentation/UI tests) and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for mobile.
• Strong communication skills and a track record of cross‑functional collaboration with product, engineering, and business stakeholders.

What we offer

• Salary range $160,000 – $200,000 USD annually.
