Senior Android Software Engineer

About the role

Grid is looking for a Senior Android Software Engineer to join its fast‑growing fintech team in San Francisco. You will help build and scale the core Android product that lets users manage cash, credit, spending and taxes, working closely with product, engineering and business leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain the Grid Android application using modern Android technologies.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define product features and user experience.
• Integrate backend services and data platforms, ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Identify and solve technical challenges pragmatically, contributing to platform scalability.
• Participate in code reviews, testing and quality assurance processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional Android app development experience.
• Strong product and customer orientation, especially in financial services.
• Ability to work autonomously, take ownership of projects and deliver on tight timelines.
• Curious, proactive self‑starter with a passion for fintech innovation.
• Experience building mobile apps in a startup environment.
