Senior Accountant – Cash Reconciliation & Commission Reporting

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Charlotte team. The role focuses on high‑volume cash reconciliations, commission‑related reporting, and improving manual financial processes.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily reconciliations across 26 bank accounts, resolve variances, and document outstanding items.
• Maintain and update recurring commission and residual schedules with high precision.
• Support month‑end close by preparing journal entries, reconciling balance‑sheet accounts, and ensuring general‑ledger accuracy.
• Utilize NetSuite and treasury platforms to monitor transactions and organize financial data.
• Analyze existing accounting workflows and recommend efficiency improvements.
• Build and maintain complex Excel models using VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and large data sets.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to investigate discrepancies and keep records current.

Required profile

• Strong background in account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and general‑ledger support.
• Proven ability to manage high‑volume cash reconciliation work in a deadline‑driven environment.
• Advanced Excel proficiency, including lookup functions and pivot tables.
• Familiarity with NetSuite or ability to quickly learn financial systems.
• Experience contributing to process‑improvement or automation initiatives.
• Knowledge of month‑end close procedures, journal entries, and account analysis.
• Experience in public accounting, treasury, banking, or related accounting environments.
