Sales Analyst - Costco

About the role

At Purina, the sales team drives market leadership with innovative pet‑care products. As a Sales Analyst focused on Costco, you will use data‑driven insights to exceed sales goals, support joint business planning, and influence product strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop 4P Purina portfolio recommendations to drive growth within the assigned business unit.
• Provide business overview and analysis to customer teams on progress against market and Joint Business Planning objectives.
• Assess competitive market activity and deliver analytics on risks and opportunities.
• Partner with Finance to create promotional recommendations that maximize market impact.
• Deliver data‑driven shelf, promotion and pricing strategies for new distribution.
• Support JBP development with insights and analytics.
• Present updates and opportunities at monthly retail team meetings.
• Produce ad‑hoc reporting for retail initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree plus at least one year of experience with retail or sales data in a CPG environment, or a high‑school diploma with four years of category development, sales or marketing analytics experience.
• Ability to travel up to 15% of the time as business needs require.
• Experience working with large retailers such as Costco, Kroger, Target or Walmart is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Nielsen, IRI or Power BI data platforms.
• Experience using RSI syndicated data.
