Safeguards Policy Analyst, Cyber Harms

About the role

Anthropic is seeking a Safeguards Policy Analyst focused on cyber‑related harms. The analyst will help shape and maintain the usage policy language, help‑center guidance, and enforcement documentation that govern how Anthropic’s AI products can be used in cyber contexts.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and update cyber product policy artifacts, ensuring alignment with Anthropic’s constitution and access tiers.
• Analyze the constitution and cyber‑related usage policies, track enforcement gaps, and propose textual fixes.
• Collaborate with threat‑intelligence and enforcement teams to verify that safety standards are met and report any drift.
• Provide cyber policy input for model releases, launch reviews, and regulator briefings in partnership with the Senior Cyber Policy Lead.
• Support the controlled‑access framework and keep cyber policy commitments current with evolving industry and regulatory standards.
• Draft reporting inputs for partners and regulators and translate technical safeguard work into clear policy guidance.

Required profile

• Proven ability to produce clear, rigorous policy analysis in a professional or academic setting.
• Familiarity with how AI platforms enforce usage policies and with cyber‑safety considerations.
• Comfort engaging with technical material such as probes, classifiers, and trusted‑access programs.
