Routing Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Routing (Dispatch) Supervisor to lead our routing team in San Antonio, TX. The role oversees daily dispatch operations, ensures on‑time performance, and drives cost‑effective transportation solutions for healthcare trips.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Routing Coordinators handling advance‑notice and short‑notice trip requests.
• Oversee daily routing and dispatch operations across all shifts, ensuring coverage, productivity, and SOP adherence.
• Monitor live trip dashboards and intervene when on‑time performance falls below targets.
• Act as escalation point for real‑time trip recovery, resolving complex issues with providers and healthcare facilities.
• Ensure cost‑effective mode selection, audit routing errors, and drive corrective actions.
• Manage team scheduling, shift coverage, timekeeping, and PTO to maintain uninterrupted operations.
• Conduct QA reviews, one‑on‑ones, performance evaluations, and deliver coaching in partnership with HR.
• Onboard and train new coordinators, maintaining up‑to‑date training materials and SOPs.
• Analyze routing data to identify trends and lead process‑improvement initiatives.
• Report KPIs, staffing, and operational issues to leadership and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum three years of transportation/delivery logistics experience, including at least one year in a supervisory role.
• Experience with transport management systems.
• Proven ability to coach, develop, and manage team performance in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Transport Management System (TMS) proficiency.
• Workforce management, scheduling, and quality‑assurance tool experience.
