Roadway Engineer I

About the role

Parsons is hiring a Roadway Engineer I to join its St Louis team, supporting major regional road and highway projects. The role offers the chance to work alongside a world‑class group of civil engineers at a leading infrastructure firm.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior engineers on roadway engineering and design assignments of varying size and complexity.
• Utilize drafting and modeling software to develop conceptual and detailed designs.
• Perform design calculations, material quantity takeoffs, and construction cost estimates.
• Assist in producing and modifying technical reports, engineering plans, specifications, and detailed requisitions.
• Carry out additional duties related to project delivery as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Three or more years of experience on road and highway projects.
• Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification; Professional Engineer (PE) registration is a plus.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil3D, MicroStation Geopak and/or OpenRoads.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within an engineering team.
