Retail Operations Assistant Manager – Boutique

About the role

Join the new Nespresso Green Hills boutique in Nashville as a Retail Operations Assistant Manager. You will work closely with the Boutique Manager and Assistant Sales Manager to ensure smooth daily operations, manage inventory, and uphold safety and compliance standards. This role blends back‑of‑house leadership with front‑of‑house support to deliver an exceptional coffee experience.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Boutique Manager to follow Retail Operations Procedures, manage cash, and oversee stock and inventory levels.
• Troubleshoot and maintain IT systems, including the racking system and equipment used in the back‑of‑house.
• Train employees on the coffee roaster, engraver, and tasting bar.
• Coordinate omni‑channel services such as same‑day delivery and in‑store pickup.
• Identify and implement operational efficiencies using Total Quality Management principles.
• Conduct health, safety, and environmental audits, ensuring all staff are certified in Food Safety and CPR.
• Lead and coach a back‑of‑house team of two, and act as Manager on Duty for front‑of‑house when needed.
• Support the leadership team with special projects and ad‑hoc tasks.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of retail or customer‑service experience, preferably with operations exposure.
• Proven ability to lead and influence a team.
• Detail‑oriented with a systematic, analytical problem‑solving approach.
• Flexibility to work open/close shifts, weekends, holidays and travel up to 10 %.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Experience using Adobe tools.
• Familiarity with AI tools.
