Restaurant Host / Hostess

About the role

The Restaurant Host is the first point of contact for guests, creating a welcoming atmosphere that reflects Auberge Collection’s hospitality standards. You will ensure smooth guest flow from arrival to departure while supporting the overall restaurant and hotel experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, manage check‑ins and seating assignments.
• Answer phones, take reservations and in‑room dining orders, and keep reservation system records accurate.
• Coordinate with restaurant and pool staff to avoid overbooking and maintain optimal guest placement.
• Assist in preparing station charts, assign stations, and guide servers on table set‑up.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host station and surrounding areas.
• Update guest profiles, VIP arrivals, and special requests in the reservation system.
• Ensure menus and wine lists are clean, current, and fully stocked.
• Resolve guest complaints promptly and provide accurate information about hotel services and local attractions.
• Collaborate with Food & Beverage Management to uphold a positive restaurant environment.

Required profile

• Prior experience in customer service or hospitality, preferably in a high‑end setting.
• Strong communication skills, positive attitude, and fluency in written and spoken English.
• Minimum legal age to serve alcohol.
• Flexibility to work variable schedules, including weekends and holidays.
• Willingness to obtain required certifications such as food‑handler or alcohol‑service permits.

Required skills

• Proficiency with reservation system software.
