Residential Remodeling Estimator

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Residential Remodeling Estimator to join a high‑quality remodeling firm based in Albany, NY. The role is fully remote for candidates located in LATAM and involves managing the complete bid lifecycle for kitchen, bathroom and first‑floor addition projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and refine plan sets with the designer, turning concepts into detailed construction documents.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and pricing using Buildertrend.
• Manage the full bid solicitation process, coordinating subcontractor pricing and preparing accurate bid submissions.
• Solicit and negotiate pricing from trade subcontractors such as plumbers, electricians and tile installers.
• Support projects from high‑level estimates through final bids, ensuring alignment with client expectations.
• Communicate with clients, subcontractors and vendors via phone, video and email to clarify scope and pricing.
• Track bid invitations, maintain the estimating pipeline and coordinate with project managers on scheduling.
• Complete roughly 200 bids annually to close 50+ residential remodeling projects.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of estimating experience in residential remodeling, especially kitchen, bathroom and addition projects for U.S. clients.
• Proficiency with Buildertrend or comparable estimating/project‑management software.
• Strong ability to read and interpret architectural plans and specifications with high accuracy.
• End‑to‑end bid process experience, from plan review to vendor pricing coordination and formal submission.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Prior remote work experience for a U.S.‑based contractor is strongly preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
