Research Engineer

About the role

Resolve AI is building an autonomous AI Production Engineer to investigate and fix complex system issues end‑to‑end. As a Research Engineer you will develop AI‑powered workflows, fine‑tune large language models, and translate research into production‑ready solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop end‑to‑end AI‑powered workflows, balancing research and engineering.
• Build and optimise data pipelines for high‑volume structured and unstructured data.
• Design and execute benchmarks to evaluate AI models, improve performance and reduce compute costs.
• Fine‑tune and train Large Language Models for production engineering and reliability use cases.
• Research and experiment with novel techniques such as reinforcement learning, retrieval‑augmented generation and autonomous reasoning.

Required profile

• Deep experience with foundation models (e.g., GPT‑4, Llama, Gemini) including fine‑tuning and prompt engineering.
• Strong software engineering background with proficiency in Python, Go or C++ and experience in distributed systems and cloud infrastructure.
• Data engineering expertise with large‑scale pipelines, embeddings, vector databases or search.
• Solid understanding of machine‑learning fundamentals, especially transformers, deep learning and self‑supervised learning.
