Research Assistant – Cancer Prevention Program

About the role

We are seeking a Research Assistant to support the Cancer Prevention and Control Program at the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, Georgetown University Medical Center. The role involves participant recruitment, telephone interviewing, data entry, and coordination with laboratory and study staff to advance ongoing cancer research.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit Chinese‑ and English‑speaking participants from community sites and clinics.
• Conduct telephone interviews and enter data into study databases.
• Assist with project management, including patient enrollment, data shipment, and mailing of study materials.
• Generate data analysis reports and support the principal investigator in meeting funding agency milestones.
• Coordinate research logistics such as meetings, data shipments, and communication with participants.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or Associate degree with 1‑2 years of relevant experience; a M.S. or M.A. in social, behavioral, or health sciences is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently with the research team.
• Proficiency in English; Chinese language skills are a plus.
