Remote Medical Assistant (MA) – California

About the role

The Medical Assistant (MA) joins Clarity Pediatrics’ interdisciplinary team to support children with chronic conditions. Working remotely, the MA coordinates appointments, gathers patient information, and liaises with providers to ensure smooth care delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate patient appointments using the EHR and scheduling systems, respond to inquiries, send reminders, and manage logistics to reduce no‑shows.
• Gather, organize, and verify patient intake forms, medical histories, and documentation, ensuring records are complete before visits.
• Communicate with referring physicians to obtain records, clarify histories, and update them on appointment outcomes and referral status.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED; Medical Assistant certification (CCMA, AAMA) preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced remote environment.
• Reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace suitable for remote work.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and related technology platforms.
