Registered Nurse – Weekend Option – AM

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a Registered Nurse for a weekend AM shift option. This position is open to current UAMS employees, including student employees and graduate assistants, and offers the chance to contribute to high‑quality patient care in a collaborative academic health‑care environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients during AM weekend shifts.
• Collaborate with physicians, allied health professionals, and support staff to ensure coordinated care.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record.
• Monitor patient status, administer medications, and respond to emergent situations following UAMS protocols.
• Participate in hand‑offs and ensure continuity of care across shifts.

Required profile

• Current UAMS employee (including student or graduate assistant) with a valid RN license.
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Commitment to the scheduled weekend AM shift pattern.
