Registered Nurse – Multiple Sclerosis Unit

About the role

The Registered Nurse will support physicians in the Multiple Sclerosis unit on the Upper East Side, providing direct patient care, health education, and coordination of clinical services. Working Monday‑Friday, the RN will help ensure high‑quality, compliant care in a fast‑paced outpatient environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients, develop nursing care plans, and prioritize care based on clinical needs.
• Prepare equipment and assist providers during examinations, testing, and treatments.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary services, arrange diagnostic tests, and triage patient inquiries.
• Administer injections and medications in accordance with state law and clinic protocols.
• Maintain infection‑control standards and ensure accurate EMR documentation.
• Educate patients and staff on pharmacology, protocols, and safety procedures.
• Participate in staff orientation, safety programs, and policy review.
• Support clinical research activities, including eligibility assessment and protocol documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of RN experience, preferably in a specialty or outpatient setting.
• Current New York State RN license.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Infection Control certification.

Required skills

• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) management.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Infection Control practices.
