Registered Nurse – Child Diagnostic Unit (Night Shift)

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the BHSL Child Diagnostic Unit on the night shift. This position provides direct nursing care to pediatric patients undergoing diagnostic procedures, ensuring safety, comfort, and high‑quality clinical support.

Key responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments, administer medications, and monitor vital signs for children in the diagnostic unit.
• Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record and ensure compliance with hospital policies.
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and families before, during, and after procedures.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and assist with code situations as needed.

Required profile

• Current RN licensure in Arkansas with eligibility to work in the United States.
• Experience or interest in pediatric nursing, preferably in a diagnostic or procedural setting.
• Ability to work night shift hours and function effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and commitment to patient‑centered care.

Required skills
