Regional Dispatch Supervisor

About the role

Quinn Company, a leading Caterpillar dealer, is seeking a Regional Dispatch Supervisor to lead transportation operations across a defined region in Santa Maria, CA. The role focuses on coordinating equipment movement, supervising drivers, and ensuring compliance with DOT and company standards while delivering exceptional service to internal teams and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee regional dispatch operations to guarantee timely delivery and pickup of equipment.
• Plan, assign, and direct workflow using transportation and rental software.
• Evaluate staffing needs, adjust schedules, and manage workforce assignments.
• Resolve routing, hauling, and delivery issues through effective communication with customers and employees.
• Monitor outside hauling usage, overtime expenses, and allocate transportation costs appropriately.
• Schedule and track employee training, including Pure Safety and Dealer Performance Center courses.
• Ensure DOT compliance by reviewing BIT inspections, driver logbooks, and vehicle maintenance schedules.
• Collect vehicle inspection reports and submit required documentation promptly.
• Promote a safety‑first culture and document accidents or injuries accurately.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in transportation or dispatch environments.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.
• Ability to manage teams, schedules, and staffing levels effectively.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
