Recruiting Analytics Data Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Recruiting Analytics Data Engineer to join Anthropic’s People Data Solutions team. You will build and maintain the data infrastructure that powers recruiting analytics, enabling evidence‑based decisions across the company.

Key responsibilities

• Refactor and optimise existing BigQuery tables, design scalable data architectures and dimensional models for HR data.
• Implement data governance, documentation, lineage tracking, quality monitoring and security controls, including row‑ and column‑level access.
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines with dbt and BigQuery to integrate data from Workday, Greenhouse and internal tools, handling both real‑time and batch processing.
• Develop fault‑tolerant pipelines with error handling, monitoring and automated data quality checks.
• Create semantic layers and documentation that make recruiting metrics such as offer‑accept rate and time‑to‑fill accessible to non‑technical users.

Required profile

• Expertise in BigQuery optimisation and partitioning.
• Experience building dimensional models and handling slowly changing dimensions.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python and modern data‑stack tools like dbt and Fivetran.
• Demonstrated ability to implement data security and privacy controls in cloud warehouses.
• Strong communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders.
