Property Manager – NYC Multifamily Portfolio

About the role

Our client, a leading full‑service property, asset and construction management firm in New York City, is seeking an experienced Property Manager to oversee day‑to‑day operations of a multifamily portfolio. You will work closely with the Senior Property Manager, ownership groups and operational partners to ensure high resident satisfaction, regulatory compliance and strong financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily operations of assigned multifamily properties, delivering excellent tenant service and operational efficiency.
• Manage tenant relations, communications and issue resolution.
• Coordinate building staff, including maintenance, leasing and administrative personnel.
• Monitor preventative‑maintenance programs, capital‑improvement projects and vendor performance.
• Track and resolve compliance matters with DOB, ECB, FDNY and HPD, ensuring timely documentation.
• Conduct move‑in, move‑out and routine property inspections.
• Oversee work orders, tenant access requests and lease renewal processes.
• Prepare tenant correspondence and support resident communications.
• Administer vendor invoices, payables and service contracts.
• Assist with budgeting, expense tracking and P&L analysis to drive property performance.

Required profile

• 3+ years of multifamily property management experience in New York City, with multisite exposure.
• Strong knowledge of NYC real‑estate operations, compliance requirements and local housing regulations.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent organizational, communication and customer‑service skills.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; NY Real Estate Salesperson License a plus.
