Project Manager – Radford EWI

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a complex design‑build effort to upgrade environmental compliance at a key energetics facility in Radford, VA.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, direct, supervise, and control all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the assigned project.
• Forecast monthly revenue, labor costs, other direct costs, and gross profit for the project term.
• Develop and manage the project budget, overseeing profitability and invoicing.
• Establish and maintain Project Management, Health & Safety, and QA/QC plans and related documentation.
• Assign responsibilities to subordinates based on qualifications and monitor deliverables for compliance.
• Negotiate scope changes with clients and subcontractors, and secure additional work.
• Maintain client relationships and coordinate with potential teaming partners.
• Develop career plans for direct reports, identify staffing needs, and manage performance.
• Participate in proposal development, client meetings, and business development activities.
• Monitor project progress, report milestones, and address cost overruns or schedule delays.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical/business field.
• 10+ years of relevant experience with a broad technical and business background.

Required skills

• Ability to meet Parsons’ project management certification requirements.
• Effective leadership and management capabilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations.
• Knowledge of current technology and its application on projects.

What we offer

• Salary range: $148,300 – $266,900 per year.
