Project Manager, Management & Operations

About the role

The Project Manager, Management & Operations supports the Associate Director, Management & Operations in planning, executing, and finalising central‑level tasks for a large United States Government‑funded, multi‑country global health project. The role coordinates HQ team resources, monitors budgets and contractual deliverables, and serves as the operational point of contact for cross‑cutting challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage Core workplans and initiatives from initiation through completion.
• Create and maintain project management tools to ensure timely monitoring and execution.
• Collaborate with technical and program management teams to resolve issues and keep the project on schedule and within budget.
• Monitor contractual deliverables and activity budgets regularly.
• Manage select Core‑funded initiatives, minimising risk and ensuring scope compliance.
• Troubleshoot implementation challenges with project staff and enterprise service units.
• Maintain cooperation with partners through regular communication and joint decision‑making.
• Provide backup support to country project teams when needed.
• Contribute to activity reporting and development of delegation and performance evaluation tools.

Required profile

• Proven ability to work independently and coordinate across multiple departments and external stakeholders.
• Comprehensive knowledge of project management concepts, processes, and execution practices.
• Experience managing budgets, contracts, and large‑scale, donor‑funded projects.
• Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills.
