Project Manager – Commercial Engineering

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead our commercial engineering projects. The role involves overseeing scope, schedule, budget and quality while serving as the primary client contact.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, integrating scope, schedule and budget.
• Manage contract and Extra Work Authorization (EWA) preparation, negotiation and documentation.
• Lead a production team through weekly reviews, task assignments, coaching and coordination.
• Track labor budgets, monitor variances and propose EWAs or ETCs as needed.
• Serve as day‑to‑day client liaison, escalating strategic issues and supporting upsell opportunities.
• Prepare pre‑bills, percentage‑complete updates and billing notes; assist collections.
• Ensure safety compliance, maintain project records and capture lessons learned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture; Master’s or MBA preferred.
• Active PE licensure or ability to obtain within six months.
• Minimum 5 years progressive experience in the A/E/C industry.
• Valid state driver’s license with clean record.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Smartsheet for project tracking.
• Experience using VantagePoint and Power BI for financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of project controls (ETC, labor budgets, cost codes).
