Project Inspector

About the role

The Mannik & Smith Group is seeking a Project Inspector to support its transportation construction projects in Charleston, WV. You will act as the on‑site quality and quantity monitor, ensuring work complies with plans, specifications, and QA/QC standards.

Key responsibilities

• Interact with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Read and interpret project plans and specifications.
• Follow applicable QA/QC procedures.
• Measure, calculate, and verify quantities of work and installed materials.
• Report deficiencies to the Project Engineer or Project Manager.
• Prepare daily inspector reports using Microsoft Word and AASHTOWare Project (AWP).

Required profile

• Experience in transportation construction inspection and engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proficiency with email, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
• Level II, III, IV WVDOH TRET certification or ability to obtain it.
