Project Engineer – Transportation

About the role

Fehr Graham is seeking a motivated Project Engineer specializing in transportation infrastructure to join its Monroe, Wisconsin office. The role offers hands‑on involvement in designing, analyzing, and delivering roadway and related civil projects while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers with detailed design tasks and preparation of engineering specifications.
• Produce reports, complex calculations, and design drawings for transportation projects.
• Conduct site investigations, surveys, and planning studies applying innovative engineering principles.
• Develop roadway, storm‑water, water‑distribution, wastewater, and construction engineering solutions that meet applicable codes and standards.
• Support project documentation, reporting, and coordination with project managers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in transportation or civil infrastructure.
• EIT/FE certification required; PE certification is a plus.
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities; capable of working independently and within a team.
