Project Coordinator – Interior Design

About the role

HGA is looking for a dynamic Project Coordinator to join its interior design team in San Francisco. The role works closely with interior designers, project architects, and project managers to translate design intent into detailed construction documentation while maintaining strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with designers to develop construction documents and ensure design intent is accurately carried through.
• Translate complex project goals into functional, creative design solutions.
• Coordinate architectural and engineering systems across disciplines.
• Participate in client meetings and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
• Manage project milestones and deadlines with meticulous attention to detail and quality.
• Provide technical design input and support for the overall design concept.
• Lead detailed design development, quality‑control efforts, and coordination with consultants.
• Prepare and advance schematic, design‑development, and construction drawings and specifications.
• Review project documents for compliance with building codes, zoning, and other regulatory requirements.
• Perform construction administration duties such as RFIs, RFPs, and change orders.
