Program Officer I – Research & Evidence

About the role

The Research and Evidence Group is seeking a Program Officer I to support the planning, execution, and administrative management of research projects that inform health programs and policies worldwide. Working remotely, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary research teams, government partners, and funders to ensure projects meet deliverables and timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the research project management team in meeting funder requirements and project deliverables.
• Implement project‑management best practices and FHI360 processes to provide comprehensive support.
• Manage the full vendor lifecycle for sub‑awards and consultants, from onboarding through contract negotiation, deliverable submission, and invoicing.
• Maintain high‑level understanding of project goals, timelines, and deliverables to ensure alignment across teams.
• Serve as liaison with internal finance, contracts, and procurement units.
• Maintain electronic and physical project files, calendars, and reporting schedules.
• Collect and compile data, metrics, and information for reports, coordinating with sub‑contractors and partners.
• Provide logistical support for meetings, travel requests, and event setup.

Required profile

• Experience in administrative or project support within research or program environments.
• Ability to monitor budgets, manage contracts, and coordinate with vendors.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
