Professional Surveyor and Mapper

About the role

We are seeking a licensed Professional Surveyor and Mapper to lead high‑quality survey projects in Jacksonville, FL. The role combines technical expertise, client relationship management, and project oversight to deliver accurate mapping solutions on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and monitor project scope, budgeting, scheduling, and quality control from proposal to final deliverables.
• Provide oversight of survey activities, ensuring performance goals are met.
• Coordinate with project team members and give detailed instructions to survey support personnel.
• Perform field calculations, mapping, and compile research prior to work commencement.
• Analyze deeds and research materials for survey production.
• Manage office personnel assigned to projects and prioritize schedules.
• Coordinate QA/QC activities and monitor client satisfaction.
• Review timesheets and assist with project estimates.

Required profile

• Licensed Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM) or Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in Florida; Georgia license is a plus.
• Proven project management experience in site development and surveying.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

• Familiarity with DOT Location & Surveys processes and standards
• Subsurface Utility Engineering (preferred)
