Product Manager, Research (AI)

About the role

Anthropic is seeking a Product Manager to lead the ideation and deployment of new AI models and products within its Research team. You will partner closely with researchers to translate cutting‑edge work into market‑ready solutions that address real user needs.

Key responsibilities

• Define vision, strategy, roadmap, and execution for frontier AI technologies.
• Collaborate with research teams to improve and ship model capabilities.
• Identify nascent research that can become transformative products.
• Synthesize user insights into actionable product requirements and evaluations.
• Maintain an objective view of the AI landscape and competitive positioning.
• Influence and coordinate across research, product engineering, and platform engineering stakeholders.

Required profile

• Deep passion and curiosity for AI and large language models, using AI regularly.
• First‑principles thinker comfortable navigating ambiguity and delivering simple solutions.
• Strong technical background with solid understanding of AI/ML concepts.
• Data‑driven mindset with experience launching ambitious products that achieve commercial success.
• Excellent user empathy and ability to turn vague feedback into clear priorities.
• Intellectual curiosity, creative problem‑solving spirit, and willingness to ask questions independently.
