Product Design Engineer – Watch

About the role

The Google Pixel Watch team is looking for a Product Design Engineer to shape the next generation of wearable devices. You will work in a fast‑paced, manufacturing‑focused environment, balancing comfort, performance, and aesthetics to create innovative watch designs.

Key responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and prototype new Pixel Watch concepts.
• Collaborate with external vendors and internal teams (electrical, antenna, industrial design, reliability, operations, camera, product).
• Deliver reliable mass‑production components and resolve time‑sensitive engineering challenges.
• Anticipate design risks, analyze data, validate designs, and implement improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, product design, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• At least 3 years of experience designing mechanical components (plastic, metal, PCBs, flexes).
• 3 years of hands‑on experience with CAD tools such as 3D MCAD, NX, Creo, or SolidWorks.
• Preferred: Master’s degree, consumer product design experience, multiple product launches, global supplier collaboration, and system‑integration expertise.

• Base salary range $132,000 – $189,000 per year
