Process Technician

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Process Technician to support semiconductor and advanced display manufacturing. The role involves preparing wafers, operating thin‑film reactors, and using scanning electron microscopes (SEM) for analysis and imaging.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare wafers for experimentation, including cleaning and reactor loading.
• Operate thin‑film reactors and SEM equipment under limited supervision.
• Prepare cross‑section samples for SEM analysis and optimize sample‑prep procedures.
• Record process conditions, experimental observations, and generate result summaries.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance, shutdown/start‑up procedures, and coordinate repairs with vendors.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma with 2‑4 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to work in a clean‑room environment and follow safety protocols.
• Physical capability to lift up to 35 lb, stand for long periods, and use hand/power tools.
