Print Designer

About the role

Arena is a high-end print media company based in Austin, Texas, publishing a print magazine and coffee table books. It is building a print-first company and is looking for a Print Designer who can create beautiful printed products and the digital interfaces that help readers discover and collect them.

Key responsibilities

• Work on the flagship quarterly magazine, including typesetting and editorial design, in close collaboration with the editorial team and the art director
• Design coffee table books
• Explore new products creatively
• Design the digital interfaces used by readers to find and collect content

Required profile

• At least 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
• Already enjoys Arena's content and vibe
• Self-starter who does not need to be told what to do
• Attentive to detail
• Active desire to join a startup and dislike corporate bureaucracy
• Willingness to work hard and be available most of the day
• Strong preference for someone based in Austin, Texas, or willing to move there

Required skills

• Editorial and print design
• InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Figma
• Interest in keeping up with new design tools
• Web and interface design experience is a plus
