Principal Product Manager, Cloud Database

About the role

As the Principal Product Manager for ClickHouse Cloud you will lead the development and delivery of a cloud‑native database platform, working closely with engineering, customers and cross‑functional stakeholders. The position is remote‑friendly and can be performed from anywhere in the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the product roadmap for ClickHouse Cloud, focusing on multi‑region replication, distributed query execution, fault tolerance, storage tiering and schema evolution.
• Partner with engineering to prioritize and ship improvements to the core database engine, storage layer and query optimizer.
• Engage directly with customers to gather feedback, conduct market research and translate insights into product decisions.
• Collaborate with design, marketing, operations and sales teams to support feature launches, create blog content and shape product positioning.
• Define, track and report key performance indicators that measure product success.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all product‑related communications, managing expectations and keeping stakeholders informed.

Required profile

• 8+ years of product management experience, preferably with cloud‑based SaaS products.
• Strong background in database or distributed systems, with hands‑on experience in SQL and query performance tuning.
• Experience with databases such as ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake, BigQuery or Redshift.
• Understanding of modern data infrastructure including data lakes, ETL pipelines, CDC and orchestration frameworks.
• Proven ability to work with engineering on low‑level topics like schema management, query planning and storage engines.
• Demonstrated leadership and communication skills in a fast‑growth environment.
