About the role
The Prevailing Wage Service Technician ensures that all physical aspects of the property—including buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas—meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality. This onsite role supports resident satisfaction and prepares vacant units for new occupants.
Key responsibilities
- Complete work orders generated from resident service requests and perform preventative maintenance.
- Execute the “make‑ready” process: inspect vacant units, create punch lists, schedule vendors, obtain supplies, complete repairs, and verify finished work.
- Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
- Document service requests accurately and promptly for tracking and reporting.
- Maintain common areas and amenities by trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs or signage as required.
- Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts and using materials efficiently.
Required profile
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety standards and code requirements.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with residents, vendors, and maintenance supervisors.
