Postdoctoral Researcher in Engineering Education

About the role

The College of Engineering at LSU seeks a postdoctoral researcher to conduct applied research on undergraduate engineering education. The role combines teaching, curriculum innovation, and experimental studies of instructional methods.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver sophomore‑level engineering and computer‑science courses while testing new educational methodologies.
• Integrate teaching activities with experimental research on instructional methods, analyzing qualitative and quantitative data.
• Develop and implement innovative instructional strategies and learning‑management modalities.
• Collaborate with faculty, students, and industry partners to identify challenges and pursue grant funding.
• Mentor graduate and undergraduate students in education‑related research and publish findings.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Engineering Education or a related engineering discipline.
• Demonstrated interest in engineering education research and strong analytical abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
• Experience with curriculum development or instructional design is a plus.
