Postdoctoral Fellow III – Socio‑computational Modeling

About the role

The COSMOS Research Center at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock seeks a full‑time Postdoctoral Fellow III to advance socio‑computational modeling of cyber campaigns on social media. Funded by a grant, the position supports cutting‑edge research into group dynamics, activation, decentralized decision‑making, and collective action.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement socio‑computational models to analyze cyber‑campaign behavior.
• Extract and curate open‑source data using guided snowball collection, cyber forensics, and deep‑web search techniques.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to design predictive models of socio‑technical behaviors.
• Prepare research reports, scholarly articles, and presentations for academic and stakeholder audiences.
• Maintain documentation of methodologies and ensure reproducibility of research workflows.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computational Social Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in modeling social processes and analyzing large‑scale online data.
• Strong publication record in peer‑reviewed venues.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative research team.
