PLC Controls Technician – Automation & Maintenance

About the role

As a PLC Controls Technician at Bosch, you will design, program, troubleshoot, and maintain Siemens S7 PLC‑controlled systems for manufacturing equipment. You will work closely with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams to ensure equipment reliability and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Design, program, and maintain PLC systems using Siemens S7 and TIA Portal.
• Develop and support HMI applications for production equipment.
• Troubleshoot complex automation issues, including vision systems (Cognex, Keyence) and servo drives (Rexroth, Siemens).
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve equipment performance and reliability.
• Assist with mechanical troubleshooting and general maintenance tasks.
• Provide feedback to engineering on recurring issues and system improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Associate degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience in industrial automation and maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with a proven ability to identify root causes and implement solutions.

Required skills

• Siemens S7 PLC programming and TIA Portal.
• HMI development.
• Vision system troubleshooting (Cognex, Keyence).
• Servo drive maintenance (Rexroth, Siemens).
• FANUC robot programming and maintenance.
• Sensor, machine safety, and measurement system diagnostics (including Kistler devices).
